Water Supply

Saucelito Irrigation District has a contract with the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation for 21,500 acre-feet of Class 1 water and 32,800 Acre-Feet Class 2. Friant-Kern Canal carries water from Millerton Lake to the Tulare and Kern counties in the south.

The canal is 152 miles long and terminates in the Kern River about four miles west of Bakersfield.
